Frequently Asked Questions

Can I really get a free book from the Dragon Wagon?

Yes, if you are between the ages of just born-high school senior. Please check the event schedule, though. Some events are only open to a specific group of people.

Can I buy books from the Dragon Wagon?

Yes, if you want more than one book or if you have already graduated from high school, all books on the Dragon Wagon will be available for purchase.

How can I donate to the Dragon Wagon?

Thanks so much for asking! The Dragon Wagon operates as a social impact business. We are not a non-profit. While we are happy to accept financial donations to help us stock our shelves, those donations are not tax-deductible under the law. We do not accept donations of used books, as we strive to give kids the experience of discovering new books by current authors. New book donations are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Please email us for information about donating new books or funds.

Can you bring the Dragon Wagon to my town?

In 2023 we are bringing the bookmobile to a few select locations in Delaware County, NY. If you have a special request, please email dragonwagonbookbus@gmail.com and we will consider your location for 2024. However, keep in mind that we do not offer private events (see below).

Can you bring the Dragon Wagon to my school?

At this time we are not able to bring the bookmobile to schools. But this may change!

Will books be available in Spanish?

Yes, we will have a selection of books available in Spanish.

Can you bring the Dragon Wagon to my birthday party?

The bookmobile will not be available for private parties. Our goal is to get books into the hands of as many kids as possible in areas where there are no children’s bookstores. For that reason, we’re taking it to public events.

Will Tracey West be signing Dragon Masters books at the Dragon Wagon?

Yes! Tracey hopes to be present at every appearance of the Dragon Wagon, as long as her schedule allows.

Are there real dragons on the Dragon Wagon?

No, real dragons might eat the books or accidentally set them on fire. But there will be plenty of books about dragons on the bookmobile!
